Portraits for the rest of us
And I asked her, "How much did that cost us?"
Her eyes squirted away toward a tall bush just outside the doors.
"How much?" I pressed her again.
"...$500" she whispered "but they were all really cute!"
As she pealed me off of the ground she mumbled, "portraits are just so stinkin expensive and our kids will never be this age again... you know?"
We have all heard that line before and if you haven't, you will when your kids get into high school or you get engaged or have a baby. For every life moment there is a longing to caputre it in a photograph so the moment will stay alive for the rest of your life. Those of us with sweet, big and beefy cameras know this, which is why we buy such Behemoths and offer a service to capture that moment for you. I am one of those.
However, I think I am a little different. First, I love people before I love photography. So my desire is to make sure you get what you want from the shoot not me posing you to build my portfolio. Second, I come from a working class blue collar, elbow grease, pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps family. Therefore, I am connected to most of you who want beautiful pictures for a reasonable price. I remember my parents working extra hours just to get my senior portraits done. That is inspiring, but I don't think that great portraits have to break the bank. Finally, I am a local Battle Creek photographer with a desire to show some of the beauty our city has to offer through location portrait shoots. Whether it is the immaculate upkeep of Kellogg Manor or the gardening skills that make our linear path the best in Michigan Battle Creek is a city that has people who care about where they live. I want others to see why we do.
I do not know why anyone else goes into photography, but I do know why I went enjoy it the way I do; I simply love to be part of helping others make moments together.
Let me help you make a moment that will last a lifetime...call today - 269-753-8809
